On Tuesday, President Bush welcomed President Hamid Karzai of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the White House to discuss the expansion of good governance, countering the threat of militant extremists, stemming narco-trafficking, and rebuilding Afghanistan's economy and infrastructure. Following the meeting, the two leaders participated in a joint press availability.
