ASLA Teams Up with ACE Mentor Program

ASLA has joined the ACE Mentor Program as a national sponsor and partner, and will work with ACE to introduce high school students to career opportunities in landscape architecture and other design and construction professions. The ACE program targets young adults to introduce them to the challenges and rewards of a career in the design and construction industry and makes a special effort to reach out to minority and underserved populations.

ASLA Green Roof Garners Press Attention

National news outlets, including The Washington Post, USA Today, the Associated Press, and The Chicago Tribune have provided great coverage of the ASLA green roof and extolled the benefits of green roof technology. Discover what all the fuss is about on the ASLA green roof web page, which includes downloadable photos and renderings of the roof, fact sheets on the project, and the ASLA green roof webcam.

ASLA extends its thanks to those members, firms, and chapters who have supported this project with their generous contributions.  If you have not done so already, we’d like to invite you to join our efforts.  To contribute, just complete the online pledge/contribution form. Contributors receive a number of high-profile recognition benefits based on the amount of the contribution, including recognition on the ASLA’s green roof page.

ASLA Unveils Enhanced JobLink

ASLA’s JobLink service, which, on average, lists more than 200 jobs per month, has been greatly improved to help firms and landscape architects connect more easily. The enhanced JobLink allows job seekers to search listings by several criteria to help them find just the right job. In addition, it is now much easier for firms to manage their job postings.
