WE CAN FEEL IT IN THE AIR...THE HEARTS OF THIRD DISTRICT VOTERS WILL NOT BE BOUGHT!
More negative robo calls from Mike Rogers; another negative direct mail attack; now attack radio ads...the Mike Rogers campaign thinks they are 'cooking us down' for November 5th. They are wrong. They are dead wrong. Never has our campaign seen such energy, passion and commitment from the public.
The Rogers tone in this campaign is 'over the top' according to one converted republican voter. "I'm voting for Joe Turnham because Rogers is mean and has nothing to say other than to blast Turnham" said a recent caller to our campaign. It is not uncommon for our office to get dozens of calls into our campaign each day from converted voters who believe that Mike Rogers has run the most negative and vicious campaign in Alabama history. They are right.
The voters of the third district are hunkering down and making intellegent choices in these final days. They will not be manipulated or cojoled into voting for Mike Rogers because of his slick mail and attack TV ads. Voters want a candidate of hope, passion, and vision. They want a Congressman who is unafraid to buck his own party if necessary to defend their interests.
Mike has partisanized his campaign agenda and yeilded his own will to the NRCC (republican consultants) who have invested $2.5 million in this Rogers campaign. If Mike goes to Washington, he will be a robot for the leadership and causes of the special interests that have funded the Turnham character assasination.
You can feel it in the air on the textile floors at Avondale and the coffee shops of Calhoun County...the voters are the judge and they are not fooled by money and negativity. Many are intrigued at the harshness with which the superior funded Rogers is hitting me. I trust that the voters are responding to the toughness of my campaign. We are addressing issues, opening up and not using props and Washington 'big shots' to open the holes to the voters heart. The heart of our candidacy is shining through. I know that it will be manifested in a victory on Tuesday. God bless all of you who believe in me and this effort and to those of you that have given so much of your time, money and talent to win. We will win!

ATTACK OF PERSONAL CHARACTER IS NOT PUTTING AMERICA FIRST!
When campaigns fight hard battles, the 'fur flies' said one political observer. But, Joe Turnham has been subjected to negative campaign attacks funded by over $2 million dollars worth of mail and tv distorting his positions, beliefs, and Christian character. It is time to stop.
As the campaign comes into its last two weeks, it is notable to mention that putting America First means putting your issues on the table as a candidate for real debate, not in the paid media. People are hurting out there and are demanding that candidates show sensitivity to their concerns.
As my own character has been assaulted in the mail box and on the tv for the last 6 weeks, I have gained a new sense of understanding for those that are tossed aside and so easily blistered by the powerful because they presented a threat to the power hold of the few. I intend to put America First in the US Congress, regardless of the negative consequences to me politically or to my own personal reputation. Name calling and shots to the political ribs do not deter me from mounting a campaign of hope and encouragement to the many people who look to leaders to 'do the right thing'.
Help me put America First by giving consideration to our campaign message of hope, positive ideas and a bold vision for our future. Thanks for all your prayers and for not believing or supporting those candidates that seek to gain power through deception.
