"Mike Rogers is an experienced, conservative leader with a vision for a better Alabama.  I know I will be leaving the Third District in good hands.".............Bob Riley.

From the White House to the State House: The Rogers Campaign Gains Momentum

Cheney Comes to Town

Vice President Dick Cheney and more than 400 guests were in attendance at a fundraising luncheon for Mike Rogers on August 15th at the Embassy Suites in Montgomery.

“I am here because the president and I are very interested in this race for Congress here in the 3rd. District in Alabama. There is absolutely no doubt that the man for the job is Mike Rogers,” Cheney said at the beginning of a 25 - minute speech.

The district is of national interest, as Congress is closely divided. Republicans hold 223 seats in the House and Democrats hold 210, with one vacancy and one independent.

Cheney said Rogers would help the current Bush administration continue the war on terror and pursue conservative business and economic policies.

Willis Endorses Rogers

State Representative Gerald Willis endorsed Republican Mike Rogers in his campaign for Alabama’s 3rd Congressional District and kicked off the campaign’s ‘Democrats for Rogers’ effort.

“I am endorsing Mike because I want to see this district continue to have conservative leadership in Washington. I have served with Mike Rogers in the state legislature, and I know he is a man of honesty and integrity who will fight for our interests in Congress,” said Willis. His campaign is unifying conservatives, both Democrats and Republicans, who want to ensure we have pro-life, pro-gun, leadership in Washington. I’m honored to lead this ‘Democrats for Rogers’ effort, ” continued Willis.
