Blood Supply is Adequate for Now
America's Blood Centers says "As long as you give blood as an effect of this tragedy at some point, you are helping the victims, and other people across the country who will need a blood transfusion in the months to come." Call 1-888-BLOOD-88 (1-888-250-0388) or use links at the bottom of this page.

Message to Volunteers (FEMA)
From the Federal Emergency Management Agency: "There is no additional need for volunteers or donated goods for the World Trade Center response... the same situation exists at the Pentagon."

NYC.gov - Emergency Supplies Donations
New York City no longer requires additional contributions of heavy equipment. Agencies that have requested in-kind donations of goods and supplies have likewise received as much material support as they can manage. For other donation information, call the New York State Emergency Management Office hotline at (800) 801-8092.

American Liberty Partnership
Major Internet-related companies have established this portal for disaster recovery donations. Make an online credit card contribution to specific charities and funds here, or contribute directly through the links listed below.

Helping.org
You can help now by supporting relief efforts. Links to the principal organizations that are appealing for cash donations to fund special emergency response efforts.

American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund
"The Red Cross has been on the scene from the beginning providing disaster support in the form of food, shelter and mental health counseling to all individuals affected. To help the victims of these and other disasters please support the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund."

Salvation Army Online Donations
The Salvation Army urgently requires contributions to help pay for the 100,000 meals it is serving emergency personnel each day of the massive rescue and recovery effort. Make a donation by credit card to the Salvation Army in your country, including U.S.A., Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom. Or call 1-800-SAL-ARMY (1-800-725-2769).

New York Firefighters 9-11 Disaster Relief Fund
Make a charitable contribution online. Money will go directly to the families of the fallen fire fighters and EMS personnel in New York City.

WTC Police Disaster Relief Fund
"To ease the financial burden of those officers who have suffered catastrophic injuries and to help the families of those who gave their lives trying to help others." Instructions for mailing a donation. Or donate online through Helping.org.

Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund via Amazon
You can support relief efforts by making a donation to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. You can contribute from $1 to $100 - any donation is greatly appreciated. ALL donated money will go to the Red Cross to help victims of this and other tragedies--Amazon.com is waiving its usual "Honor System" fees.

Pay Pal Relief Fund
PayPal has created a special fund to help PayPal members provide assistance to those affected by the crisis. PayPal will donate 100% of the proceeds to the National Disaster Relief Fund of the American Red Cross.

September 11th Fund
United Way and The New York Community Trust have established this fund to mobilize resources to respond to the urgent needs of victims and their families affected by these attacks. You may specify which city you would like your donation directed to.

U.S. Emergency Relief (CharityWave)
Make online donations to The New York Times 9/11 Neediest Fund to relieve the suffering of families struck by death or injury in the World Trade Center calamity (fund info here), or to United Way International's Crisis Relief Funds for victims in New York, Washington, D.C., and Pittsburgh.

Feed The Children
Make a donation online by credit card, to help Feed the Children address the immediate emergency needs of those who survived the attack on the World Trade Center. Or call the hotline for donations at 1-800-525-7575.

Catholic Charities USA
Donate online to assist Catholic Charities agencies that are mobilizing to help victims and their families recover from the devastation, providing grief counseling and emergency assistance to help people cope.

Volunteer IT
Computer World is building a registry of volunteers offering to donate Information Technology goods or services to help in the wake of the tragedy in New York. Submit this form: if your donation will be needed, you will be contacted in the coming days.

New York Blood Center
All eligible donors (age 17+) are urged to make a blood donations at donor sites in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Staten Island, Long Island, Westchester, and New Brunswick NJ.
