President Asks Global Leaders to Play Anthems on Dec 11 In meeting with the Prime Minister of Norway Wednesday afternoon, President Bush announced he is asking countries across the world to play their national anthems at 8:46 a.m. on December 11 -- the three-month anniversary of the September 11 attack.

President Meets with Displaced Workers in Town Hall Meeting
President Bush, speaking to some 4,000 displaced workers at his first town hall meeting, said on Tuesday, "I urge the United States Congress to stop talking and to get an economic security bill to my desk. The Senate needs to get a bill, get it
reconciled, and get it to my desk, so we can say we're doing the
people's business in a way that will make you proud."
President Promotes Economic Security & Worker Assistance
President Bush visited Operation Paycheck -- a job training center in Orlando, Florida -- to emphasize his concern and his plans to help workers who lost their jobs in the wake of the September 11 attacks.
