INTRODUCTION

PIRCH is an IRC (Internet Relay Chat) client for the Microsoft Windows® 95/98 Platforms and Windows® NT. This version is NOT designed for windows 3.x. This page will be updated with new releases as they are made available.

FEATURES

  • Easy to use interface (Isn't it a requirement that all programs say this?)
  • Supports all IRC2 commands
  • Allows multiple server connections... so you can be on Efnet, Undernet and Dalnet at the same time
  • User defineable aliases and variables
  • User defineable event handling
  • Customizable popup menu
  • Supports CTCP (Client to Client Protocols)
  • CTCP can be disabled to stop flooders (if you dont know what this means... don't worry about it yet)
  • Supports DCC (Direct Client to Client) commands for file transfers and secure private chats
  • Drag-n-Drop DCC or Batch sending
  • No limit on number of channels (except those imposed by the IRC network)
  • Includes a personal bio (biography) feature...
  • Channel and message logging to text files
  • WWW Link and Netscape interface
  • Internal UNIX finger client & DNS lookup
  • Extensive help file (does anyone really read help files?)
  • Other stuff too
